We tried this restaurant a couple months ago, I believe it used to be a Shackeys before. The food is always great, my favorite is the beef jerky, spicy mint leaves, and their tom yum. Really great food at a great price. If your looking for a good thai place for gatherings they have a backside for party's.
We tried this restaurant again a few months ago because of a major blackout in our side of town. It was good, and we were pleasantly surprised. We decided to come back today and we had an excellent meal. We got our old favorites: beef nam tuk, fried wontons, fried pork jerky, chow mein, beef panang and Chinese broccoli with crispy pork. We tried shrimp fried rice and thai fried chicken for the first time. Not everyone can do fried chicken and there's was pretty darn good. They usually have the best salted fish fried rice, but we gave it a pass. The service team remembered us from when we use to frequent the restaurant and each came to greet us. They even knew our favorites, and that pretty special, too. I guess we will have to come for lunch. We had our usual service team, the food was superb, the atmosphere festive, and we enjoyed our meal. I upgrade my ** to ****.
I finally chanced this Thai spot as I drive by often. To my dismay our waitress sat us down and took our drink order. She arrived shortly after and found my tea cup had lip stick on all sides. Unacceptable!! I did not want a make big deal so i asked for another cup as if I were sharing. She never came back so I asked another waitress who was more reliable. As the original waitress walked by after disappearing for awhile I handed her the lip stick smeared tea cup and she did not say a word and walked away. I never received a replacement. She worked in a fast pace but for no reason as the restaurant was well staffed. Everytime I received something from her she brought me to me misinterpreted. I requested white rice she gave me fried rice. I requested for hot sauce you know the condiment tray she never returned. I was annoyed at this point I relied on the younger Asian waitress who was more attentive. What could have been a perfect meal turned into a lot of waiting and disappointment from a scatter brained waitress for no reason? I'll give this place another shot but stand clear of the older female Asian waitress, clueless..
Wow so yummy and delicious food. Never been in a Thai restaurant so delighted authentic food. I love coming here. My favorites are beef jerky, glass noodle shrimp, spicy trout garden fish... and mango sticky rice... everything are the best.. the staff are all nice... just come and bring all your friends and family ... you will feel the goodness of a Thai dish.
This restaurant is pretty good. We ordered pork jerky, pork rib tom yum, angel wings, and pad Thai. The pork jerky wasn't the best but it was still good. Meaty and not too dry. I was not a fan of the sauce that came with it. I especially like their pork rib tom yum. It's a little salty but it wasn't too bad. I also ordered it spicy. I even told them "Real Asian spicy," but it tasted more like mild to me. Their angel wings were cooked very well. Crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. The sauce that came with it was not good though. I ended up making my own sauce using the other spices. Their pad Thai was pretty close to perfect. The service could be better too. Once you get your food, they barely come and check on you. I was out of water for probably 10 minutes before anyone came by. The restaurant was almost packed but there was no waiter close by. Overall, the good is good but the sauces and service could use some upgrades. I would probably go back to try other dishes.
Deep in valley territory and craving Thai? This is your spot. It's authentic but more importantly, it's good. Lunch specials sound appetizing too. I passed on the specials this time around, ordered a la carte and shared lunch. It was amazing. Whenever I'm asked, "how spicy would you like it", my reply is always..."just a little". And this place was perfect. I don't like my food spicy but as with any good dish, you want it to include its intended flavor, the way it was originally conceived. Most Thai food is prepared with at least a little bit of spiciness to it. You have to try the green curry with chicken. It was super tasty and the sauce with a hint of spiciness and sweetness to it was perfect. This was the best I have ever had and probably better than what I could make at home. If you enjoy curry, this is serious stuff. The fish cakes were delicious too. They looked and tasted like they should. They were nice and flat with chopped green beans and more fish than battered dough, which is unusual to find these days. The pork jerky was also good with it's dipping sauce. Not too chewy with plenty of meaty pieces. Another specialty of theirs is the pork nam tok, a tasty (Isaan) northeastern Thai dish. It's charbroiled pork with rice powder, onion, chili and spicy lime juice. The portions were reasonable and the service was prompt and friendly. The menu is extensive so if Thai food is your thing, they've a little bit from all over. Do yourself a favor though and try something else besides the usual pad Thai. :)
Nothing is wrong with this place. Nothing. Price, service, food, parking - the best. Rad Na is shockingly good. Pork Jerky is even better than the beef jerky that's also good. Fried rice is extremely good.
Really, healthier than Ocha Classic Food. The seafoods are the best. They serve food really fast once you sit down.
Best Thai Food in the Valley! My favorite is the Tom Yum Soup and Panang curry.
Great place! Love the food specially the pork bbq with fried rice! Yummmy????????????
Great food at reasonable prices! The tom yum soup with shrimp was awesome and so flavorful. We got medium spicy and it was perfect, not too hot but lots of flavor. Also got the pad see ew with chicken and pad thai with chicken. Both were great, but we preferred the pad see ew. Shrimp rolls were yummy too, but idk if I would order them again. Overall great thai food in the valley, we will be back again!!!
This review has been long overdue... GREAT FOOD, one of my 'go to' places for authentic Thai food in the Valley. Ample parking, great for groups, children, and they have take out/delivery, friendly staff, all with reasonable prices. Every dish I have ordered has a delicious aromatic taste. I have tried the pad thai, pad see ew with beef, panang with chicken, pad ka pow, pad prik king, crispy pork with chinese broccoli, pineapple fried rice and the list of dishes goes on...LOL...oh and their beef jerky is the bomb, comes with a spicy dipping sauce, I actually crave this!!! Enjoy!
As a family we love the the Seafood Soup from another thai restaurant. But I think we dound a new spot without any big lines. Loved their Seafood Soup.
We had the payang curry, Thai iced tea,pad Thai, chicken satayed, brown rice. Everything was great!
It's a decent Thai place in the valley. Pad see ew is really good. Flavorful but not too greesy. Papaya salad was delicious. Some of the Chinese food on the menu we tried but not very good. Mongolia beef and Kung pao chicken left a lot to be desired.
The best Thai food in the Valley!!! Sometimes they are inconsistent with their portion. Great service and friendly services! What to try? Pad Thai Pad see ew Papaya salad with salted/fermented crab Beef salad Panang chicken Spicy eggplant Mussels hot n spicy soup Fried chow fun Reasonable price and great food.
