Great choices for brunch! Too bad the brunch is only offered one day a week though.
We enjoyed the atmosphere and service on the bar while waiting to be seated. The hostess accommodated our table request. The only negative is the limited menu. Had a couple of vegetarians with us. No salads, no pasta... basically only one or two items in each category.
Absolutely looooooooove this restaurant. The food is delicious!! And the Hotel is amazing as well. I’m really picky when it comes to restaurants & hotels, and I loved everything about this place. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Noise level usually very loud towards the back (above entry way at parking lot) however this time we sat near the front of the building so it was very quiet, only 2 seatings. Nicole was our server and she was EXCELLENT and very pleasant! Had mix of appetizers and they were wonderful as always! One of our favorite places to eat and food generally excellent all around. We will be back as we are locals! Keep it going! JSM
I've only ever brunched here and really enjoyed it both times. The servers are so friendly, it can be a little slow but they are so busy and it's so tasty that I completely find it worth it. I had vegetarian eggs benedict...so delicious! Accompanied by a side salad. The crispy potatoes are just that and come with a yummy sauce to dip in.
First course: Parmesan Risotto. Second course: halibut with scallops and unidentifiable meat sauce. Dessert: Rice pudding with house made whipped cream and sugar chips. Overall delicious, the drinks were good and strong. Note to owner: lavender bitters incorporated into a drink on your menu would complement the flavor palette very well.
First of all, I had perceived this restaurant to be a lot more "high end" than it was. The tables are basically in the hallway of the hotel and people are coming and going while you eat. You do not need to dress up. Several people were wearing t shirts and jeans with sneakers. The drinks were amazing. I got The Hobbs and ordered it twice. The menu is split between Small and Substantial plates. We ordered the bread, the Brussels sprouts with pork belly, Deviled eggs, and two entrees. The small plates are enough for an entire meal. We ended up taking home half a loaf of bread, 3/4 of our small plates and our entire entrees. I ordered the squash entree which was not worth $18. The quinoa was flavorless and the squash was not seasoned. The deviled eggs were good, but they give you three full eggs. The Brussels sprouts were also good but covered in too much vinegar and served with pieces of pork belly about 4 inches big.
I absolutely adore this restaurant. You can enter from either side of the building and there are so many intimate places to be seated. The decor is gorgeous, as are the furnishings. Glamorous and eclectic. We were seated in the actual dining room by a window with a view of the grounds outside. Our host and waiter were extremely friendly and helpful. We started with some appetizers and split an entree in order to save room for dessert. They were very accommodating with our plan. The pork belly Brussel sprouts appetizer was a very generous portion. The flavors were on point and some items were crispy while others were smooth (the sweet potato puree). It was a delight. The cauliflower romanesco risotto was a generous portion with a gorgeous presentation. The risotto was cooked perfectly and the romanesco gave it all a rich, filling flavor. The deviled eggs were fantastic, although I took the jalapeno off of mine as I wasn't in the mood for spice. The halibut and scallops with chorizo broth was also a generous portion and came with a gorgeous grilled and buttered piece of bread for sopping up the juices. The biggest surprise was the flavor in the onions. If you pop one in your mouth, it takes you on a journey that ends in a delightfully sweet flavor. For dessert I had the bourbon maple milkshake, minus the bourbon. It was perfectly maple and all things winter. It comes with maple cookies and some peanut brittle. Amazing! I also wanted to try the raspberry brownie. It was so good! It has 2 layers that seem like frosting on top. A raspberry layer and a chocolate layer. My friend has the rice pudding and it was also on point. A huge portion too. We will be back! Can't wait since the menu also changes seasonally, so there will be new things to try!

This place is OUTSTANDING!!! This is a renovated former psychiatric center turned into a hotel and restaurant. My husband and I came here for dinner. The decor is modern. The service is attentive, polite and very responsive. The food is some of the best buffalo has to offer. It's farm to table; fresh and delicious. We had the scallop appetizer with cream corn and tomatoes. Hearty, flavorful, three large scallops, perfectly cooked. For the main course we had the pork porterhouse with roasted peach. The pork was perfectly cooked and the sliced, roasted peach really complimented the flavor. We also had the sausage pizza with smoked mozzarella. At $12, this was a substantial pizza (we couldn't even finish it). My only complaint is that it had too much sausage and could use more cheese. But, it really was delicious regardless. If you are in Buffalo, you really must try this place. My only issue with the location is $10 valet parking. I recommend getting a spot elsewhere.
Although the grand opening for the hotel is still over a week away, the bf and I were able to take advantage of a preview weekend. The restaurant had a price fixed menu. The charcuterie was well done, followed by a stone pizza, which had a little too much on top of it. It over powered the buffalo mozzarella the wait staff raved about. Both salads were amazing, the asparagus was perfect. The gnocchi was a bit dry, but the chicken confit was juicy and had good flavor. The trio of sample desserts were delicious, a scoop of vanilla ice cream would have been a nice touch. Waiter was excellent and very attentive. Am excited to go back with a full menu.
