Finally got the opportunity to try out this Vince's location as we always drive pass during our commute through the vicinity. The food we experienced was very average, not the type of Italian food you would expect. Bruschetta was prepared on sliced French bread. It was just slices of Roma Tomatoes and olive oil. Normally it is prepared all cut up and mixed with chopped basil then toasted. My Caesar salad was very salty with excessive dressing. The bread served was cold which we found unacceptable. Eggplant Parmigiana was served over penne pasta with marinara sauce, tasted ok, nothing exceptional. Veal Piccata, the meat was overcooked, thus ruined the tender texture of veal which diners expected. Noticed most tables ordered pizza for their meal which gave us an idea that this establishment pretty much cater to the family clientele rather than gourmet diners who seeks the genuine cooking of Italian cuisines. They probably make very good pizzas, which we have not tried. It is a very homey place and you feel welcomed here. But if you are looking for good Italian food, this is not the place. I guess we should have had pizza. The server and the host was very accommodating and very friendly. The service was very attentive & exceptional which adds one star to the rating. And that is always a plus in a restaurant.
I live 3 blocks from the Vince's in Burien....however on a couple of occasions my daughter and I have had a lunch date on a Sunday, and Vince's in Burien doesn't open until 4 on Sunday. So a couple of times we've ventured out to the Federal Way location. Food was good. I've always loved the prawns and pasta on the lunch menu. Daughter had steak & pasta. Was good. Good service. The place was cold though - temperature wise.
Took forever for our pizza to come out. Burien location is better.
I ordered the eggplant parmigiana meal. Way too salty and oily for my liking. I'm assuming the only difference between the appetizer and meal is that the meal probably has a few more slices of eggplant and bread, which wasn't even that great. Not worth another trip in my opinion.
This restaurant houses my favorite Italian style dish ever. Chicken Contadina. Oh man...I would take a bath in the sauce alone. Seriously, if you haven't tried it yet, you must. Yum!!! I've been coming here with my family since I was 8 years old, and nothing about this place has ever changed, except the staff. The service here is always good, except when it's great. The food is consistently fantastic, and they are always willing to accommodate any weird requests or substitutions we need. Be warned, if you have a coupon, they don't accept them on most major holidays (mother's day included). We learned that one the hard way. Also, the prices are a little steep, which is the reason I'm rating it 4 stars instead of 5. But even with the slightly high prices, it's definitely worth the drive.
Love their pizza!
Love vince's
Great food as always.
Try the minestrone soup!
We had stopped coming to Vince's a few years ago due to continuous bad service but we decided to give them another chance. The other day we stopped and had a small Bianca Pizza (with sausage) and a Lasagna alla Napoletana. While it was not bad, we have had much better. The lasagna tasted bland and more out of a box than fresh made. The pizza was OK but the Garlic was too over powering (this coming from a garlic lover). Service was "OK" but I had to request refills on my water. I do enjoy the ambiance and overall it was a pleasant experience but there are better Italian places.
came here and got some pizza and pasta both were very bland. Tasted like ketchup and bread and canned tomato sauce and noodles! Never again.
In recent years I've become severely lactose intolerant but I have very fond memories of their wonderful pizza and their chicken contadina is to die for! The chicken contadina has artichokes in it and has this wonderful sauce that tastes like artichokes and olive oil, it's amazing. Actually, most of their pasta dishes have great sauces, I highly recommend them.
The 5 stars are only for their Margherita Pizza and nothing else. It is ABSOLUTELY perfect - just the tastiest tomato sauce and perfect amount of mozzarella cheese with fresh basil. Delicious. I always order it as takeout because honestly, I don't like eating at the restaurant because of the slow service and, well, none of the other food is up to par with that pizza. But seriously, get the margherita.
